During the first, Radley opened the scoring for Peoria with a goal at 0:33 with helpers from his linemates, Keil and Roberts. Irwin answered for the RiverWolves with a goal at 3:53 with a helper from Routheut. Zowin quickly followed with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 4:23 with assists from his teammates Radley and Finley. Radley deposited a goal at 19:54 with helpers from Power Wayvon and Finley.
In the second period, Keil put in a goal at 9:17 with assists from Stewart and Mcdonald.
Peoria’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Freiburger as he stopped 22 of the 23 shots he faced. Freiburger’s counterpart, Baribeau, also had a big night, managing to stop 37 of 41, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Peoria Mustangs’ record to (18-16-1-1).
