Austin Keil Signs ACHA D1 Hockey Commitment to Iowa State

The Mustangs organization is proud to announce that forward Austin Keil has signed a commitment to play ACHA D1 hockey at Iowa State University.

Keil, a 2000 F from Bloomington, IL, boasts numerous accolades from his time with the Mustangs. A recipient of numerous NA3HL Central Division Star of the Week titles and a 2019 NA3HL Central Division Top Prospect, Keil’s work on the ice speaks for itself. Before signing with Iowa State, Keil was originally drafted by the NAHL’s Springfield Jr. Blues and skated with the NAHL’s Minnesota Wilderness.

Head Coach Steve Ortman said about Keil’s recent signing, “We are very happy for Austin. We saw him develop into a top forward in this league (NA3HL) and there is no doubt that his success on the ice will carry over into his college career. He will be missed tremendously on and off the ice here in Peoria.”

Founded in 1965 and located in Ames, Iowa, the Iowa State Cyclones hockey team competes in the Central States Collegiate Hockey League. The CSCHL is a league in the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division I.
