WAUSAU, WI – The Peoria Mustangs will continue their 8 game road stretch by paying a visit to Wausau, WI this upcoming Thursday, January 28th, 2021 after finishing up a road series split at Rochester.

The game vs. Wausau is a re-scheduled game due to a COVID-19 cancellation earlier in the season.

This will be the third time in the past twenty days that the Mustangs and RiverWolves have seen each other. Back on January 8th and 9th of this year, the Mustangs swept the RiverWolves 10-2 and 5-0, respectively.

COVID-19 has presented a plethora of challenges for all NA3HL teams such as rescheduling, cancelling and even re-locating. Teams have been able to adapt to the constant changes by finding some sense of normalcy in their opportunities of actually getting to play games throughout the season. It has not been a cake walk but it has given teams chances to re-evaluate how they operate on a day-to-day basis.

In the 2020-21 season, the Mustangs are perfect on the season vs. Wausau boasting a 4-0 record. Two of these games were at the Owens Center in Peoria and two of these games were at Marathon Park in Wausau. After Thursday’s game, the Mustangs and the RiverWolves will meet three more times during the season on Feb. 5 – Feb. 7, all at Marathon Park.
