On December 2, 2020 the NA3HL announced their monthly player awards for November 2020 presented by Bauer Hockey and Vaughn Custom Sports.
Mustangs goalie Cole Walter was named Goaltender of the Month for November. Walter has had a very successful month of November with many highlights as he kicked off the 2020-21 campaign on a high note. The NA3HL quickly took notice of his success and named him as the league’s top goaltender for November 2020.
Full statement from the NA3HL:
“Peoria’s Walter saw a heavy workload this month, but stepped up with some steady starts for the Mustangs en route to a 5-1-0 record, 1.59 GAA, .942 save percentage and one shutout in November. After kicking things off with a pair of consecutive wins over Milwaukee — stopping 33 and 31 pucks in each respective contest — Walter suffered his first loss of the month against division-leading Rochester, but rebounded the following day with a signature 36-save effort to hand the Grizzlies their first loss of the season. It was smooth sailing for Walter from there, as he picked up a pair of wins over Wausau, including his first shutout of the season. Walter is now 6-2-0 on the year, with a 1.91 GAA and .927 save percentage in his second NA3HL campaign.”
Walter will look to continue his successful season as the Mustangs face the Milwaukee Power this weekend in Mequon, WI.
