MOMENTUM FROM LAST SEASON:

The Mustangs enter this season after ending last season in the canceled 2019-2020 playoffs due to the pandemic. The Mustangs are still riding high off of the playoff momentum and hope to continue that with the new season. Assistant Coach Blake Ortman spoke of how much the returning veterans mean to the team as they continue the playoff momentum on the weekly coaches show, Around The Stable.

“Our veterans have done an awesome job this year. They have been setting the tone and setting the example in practices and in workouts,” said Ortman.

Coach Steve Ortman also shared in the excitement of continuing the playoff momentum and what the returning veterans bring to the team.

A LOOK AT MILWAUKEE:

The Milwaukee Power opened up their season last week at home against the newest Central Division addition, the Oregon Tradesmen. The Power tallied 3 goals from rookies Teddy Marion, Will Jentz, and Mason Ausmus. The Tradesmen’s offense proved more, tallying 6 goals and escaping with a 6-3 win over the Power.

Since joining the NA3HL, the Power have proved to be a consistent force in the Central Division making for a great rivalry with the Mustangs. Expect another great showdown on both ends of the ice with the Power this weekend in Peoria.
