Mustangs Return From Break; Face Power in Mequon

GAME PREVIEW: PEORIA MUSTANGS VS. MILWAUKEE POWER
MEQUON, WI – The Peoria Mustangs will make their second trip to the Ozaukee Ice Center in Mequon, WI of the 2020-21 season. Fresh off of a break due to the Thanksgiving holiday, the Mustangs find themselves eager to return to NA3HL action. During Peoria’s last visit to Mequon, the Mustangs took a two game sweep with decisive 5-3 and 7-1 wins against the Power. The Mustangs will look to recapture the magic of the last visit to Mequon.
GETTING BACK INTO THE SWING OF THINGS (AGAIN):
The Mustangs are coming off of the Thanksgiving break as are most NA3HL teams. Despite not seeing any game action, the squad kept in shape by holding a 3 on 3, intrasquad tournament the day before Thanksgiving. The team split into 6 separate squads and gave each other very competitive games to guarantee that they would be prepared for this weekend. At the end of the day, Team The Chez Show (captained by Ethan Chesney) prevailed as the victor.
A LOOK AT THE POWER:
The Power are in the same boat as the Mustangs as they are also coming off of the Thanksgiving holiday. Before breaking for the holiday, the Power dropped a 2 game set to the St. Louis Jr. Blues in Affton, MO.
The Power boast another strong front in players such as Teddy Marion (6 G, 10 A), Tyler Nelson (4 G, 10 A) and Garrett Alton (8 G, 4 A). All of these players for the Power were involved in the last time the Power and the Mustangs squared off so look for each of these players to make an impact on this weekend’s series. Another player to keep an eye on in this series is Trey Bess for the Power. Bess has logged plenty of shorthanded goals this season and the Mustangs are the lone victim of the scoring.
