Mustangs Take 2 Game Sweep in Brew City

Mequon, WI – The Peoria Mustangs concluded the road portion of the 2021 calendar year visiting Central Division foe Milwaukee, also the last time this regular season the Mustangs travel to Mequon. The Mustangs took control in the opening period Saturday afternoon and never looked back as they rolled to a 4-1 victory over the Power. The win, Peoria’s second straight improved them to 12-7-3. The Mustangs stayed in Milwaukee and played their second Sunday afternoon contest in as many weeks. Milwaukee grabbed a lead in the opening period, and Peoria fought back and after 60 minutes the teams were tied at 2. Peoria, courtesy of Hubert Guzy, found the back of the net in the overtime session sweeping the weekend series in Milwaukee and improving to 13-7-3 on the season.

Notes: With his second period tally Saturday afternoon, Ethan Chesney has collected at least a point in 9 straight outings. With an assist in the second period Saturday, Jared Wisely has accumulated 8 total points in his last 5 outings. With a goal and an assist in Saturdays contest, Ryan Callahan earned his first career multi-point game. Massimo Polistina collected a goal and assist Saturday for his first career multi-point outing.
