Keil answered for Peoria with a goal at 7:50 with assists from his linemates, Miller and Radley. Power-Wayvon quickly followed with a goal at 9:38 with helpers from Finley and Healy. Mchenrey deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 13:56.
During the second period, Miller scored a goal at 8:07 with an assist from Radley.
In the third, Kifer answered for Evansville with a goal at 5:03. Keil quickly followed with a goal at 5:57 with a helper from his linemate Radley.
The Mustangs’ victory was in no doubt helped out by Meyer’s big night as he stopped 25 of the 27 shots he faced. Meyer’s counterpart, Tucker, also had a big night, managing to stop 4 of 7, but ultimately fell short.
